Saturday morning I was up early getting ready and I was aching all over from the Wakefield game.

It wasn't the prettiest game at times but when we did play some rugby we looked really good.

We seemed to try a little to hard with the ball at times and that cost us possession which meant we never pulled away from Wakefield like I thought we could of done.

Full credit to Wakefield because once they got a sniff of our try line they worked really hard to get over it and they made us work very hard to keep them from crossing at times.

I thought we controlled there forwards really well, every game I have seen Wakefield win this season there forwards have set the platforms early but we stopped that which meant me made it easier for us to control the speed of there play the ball.

I thought Chris Bridge did really well to play 80 minutes at loose forward! for a centre to come in feild and do the work of a forward is a big ask but to do 80 minutes is really awesome! and there was some real quality in some of the plays Chris did.

A lot of people might have thought to take Ben Harrison from the loose forward position and put him on the bench was really harsh! and I would agree but the fact of the matter is I took a nasty knock on Monday at training from a tackling drill and my right leg was pretty sore, we was unsure if I took another knock to it during the game if I'd be able to do a full job so it made sense to place Ben Harrison on the bench as a cover for the prop position.

I thought all the forwards worked really hard, Wakefield have a big strong pack and its not an easy job to get on top of them but we seemed to do it quite easy and that shows the determination we had to win this game.

Moving on to the Easter period means we play 2 games in 4 days! WOW that is a big ask for the guys.

It should take about 2 weeks to fully recover from a Super League game, which means during the season we never fully recover from the bangs and knocks of a game.

The body doesn't have enough time to fully heal all the injuries we pick up. We can help the healing process by taking supplements and by eating the right food and most important hydration but still that isn't enough to completely make you 100% for the next game.

If you could watch us training some weeks you would think we where the over 65's veteran team training because we are carrying so many knocks and bangs, so to play 2 games in 4 days is massive for us.

You can ask any player in Super League and they will tell you the same as me, its probably to much for teams to do but its happening so we won't moan about it we'll just get on with the job and hopefully get the 4 points over that period.
