A SPANISH lorry driver has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving after an accident in Lower Whitley that killed a biker.
Forty-three-year-old Michael Gidney, of Nantwich Road, Wardle, Nantwich, died after his Suzuki motorcycle was in collision with an HGV at 11.50pm on September 9 on the A49 Tarporley Road, Lower Whitley, near to its junction with Raddel Lane.
Following an investigation Carlos Francisco Pulido-Sanchez, aged 42, from Spain, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and appeared at Vale Royal Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
The case has been adjourned to a later date.
