BORN in Warrington a little more than a decade ago, one of the town’s shining success stories has been named buisness of the decade.

Martin Dawes Systems, the international software and services firm, employs 300 people worldwide and occupies 23,000ft across two buildings at the Cinammon Business Park in Fearnhead.

Gary Steen, technology director, Martin Dawes Systems, said: “We’re delighted to receive this award because the standard of Warrington businesses is so high.

“The last decade has seen us become an international force while we’ve retained roots in the area.

“Our success is driven by our innovative technology solutions and the energy and enthusiasm of our people in helping global telecom companies run their businesses.”

The company has transformed itself from a small UK software company into a global supplier of solutions for telecommunications companies including BT, O2, Orange, AOL and Vodafone.

A constant commitment to quality and customer service has enabled Martin Dawes Systems to forge strategic partnerships with its clients on how they develop and deliver new products and services.

One great example of how Martin Dawes Systems is innovating at the cutting edge of telecommunications is its work with a US company Aircell, the leading provider of airborne communications technology to US airlines. Martin Dawes Systems is providing the customer care systems that support Wi-Fi broadband internet access on airplanes flying in the USA.
