A TOWN centre restaurant is going under the hammer to look for a new owner.

Le Frog, a bistro style restaurant that closed late last year, is up for sale at a guide price of at least £150,000.

The restaurant, in the Old Post Office Building on Palmyra Square, closed after the chain had slipped into administration and while the other four restaurants were snapped up the Warrington branch was closed.

Auctioneers Pugh and Company will be selling the property at an auction at Manchester United Football Club’s ground on July 16 to the highest bidder.

The property guide says that the buyer will get ground floor and basement space of 2,736sq ft, made up of storage rooms, toilets, entrance hall, large restaurant and dining area and rear dining area and kitchen.

The buyer will also get a long leasehold term for 999 years with a peppercorn rental.
