WHEN Liz Davies was made redundant from her graphic design job she could easily have considered herself a victim of the credit crunch.
Instead, she decided to use her sudden unemployment to her advantage and set up her own graphic design and management company from home.
“I always thought about doing it but you get very comfortable in your job,” said Liz.
“Being made redundant gave me the push that I needed. It was now or never.”
She has been running Icreate for three months and business is doing well.
“There are a lot of opportunities because of the recession and because some of the larger companies are falling it is shaking everything up.
“It’s giving us small companies the opportunity to grab what they have left behind,” she said.
Icreate is based at Liz’s Callands home.
