Identifying an unknown attacker

THE police use various methods to identify unknown attackers.

You could be asked to assist with producing an e-fit (electronic image), look at a number of images or attend an identification viewing.

This is now carried out using a DVD of images.

It is rare for the police to carry out a formal identification parade.
