THE following can help protect you from becoming a victim of a sexual attack.

l Keep your finger in your bottle and don’t let anyone you don't know well buy you a drink.

l Don’t get drunk – a person who is drunk is not in position to give consent.

l Stay with your friends on a night out.

l If you decide to go off with someone you don’t know well tell your friends.

l Order taxis rather than getting one off the street l Be aware when getting into your car – look around you, at the passenger side floor and check the back seat then lock the doors behind you.

l If you are parked next to a big van or any other vehicle and there is a man in the passenger seat get into your car through your passenger side.

l Be aware that a lot of attackers pray on the sympathies of women.
