Well it was a roller coaster of emotions for me on my come back from injury.

On to good side i was happy to have come through injury free and get a good run out with the first team, but on the bad side we got defeated in the dyeing seconds.

I was absolutely gutted when Michael Dobson slotted the last second conversation over. It was like watching a re-run of the Hull FC game! but obviously we was on the wrong end of the score line!

To be winning by 18 points and then go on to lose the game is a very hard defeat to take, but i think we can learn a few lessons from the defeat and i think those lessons will be learned at a good stage of the season.

When we start to get into the play-offs we can't afford to make those mistakes and I think the Hull KR defeat will be fresh in our minds not to do the same thing.

Over the last 8 games the guys have been playing some really hard and intense rugby league and today we just fell short in the last 15 minutes.

The dressing room after the game was really quiet and the atmosphere was like we had just lost a grand final and that shows just how much the players that take to the field want to succeed.

The team spirit is second to none at the moment and the guys are really willing to play for each other and that as been plain to see watching over the last 7-8 games.

This weeks training will again be stepped up a gear, we have spoken about the intensity we have to be at to play in the play-offs and last week against St Helens we set a high standard.

The lads have been really working hard to help each other at training doing little extra skill and defence sessions and i would imagine it will be even more hard work this week so we can get back to winning ways.

Castleford will be a tough test, they have put a few wins together so they will have the momentum has we have lost the last two but we are really looking forward to the game and the lads can't wait to put things right.

The young guys that have stepped up this season have been great, Lee Mitchell, Matty Blythe, Chris Riley, Kev Penny, Ben Harrison and Michael Cooper have all played there part in the season and well done to them they deserve some credit.

Michael Cooper has really impressed me with is attitude to training this year and his approach on games, since he has come back from his serious leg injury he has lost weight and got his match fitness to a good standard. He has been one of the first in the gym doing extra sessions and i think things like that need a mention because they are the things some people don't see, well done Mike.

All the younger guys have been training hard to get a shot at first team action and since they have had a taste they want more and thats keeps everyone on there toes to work hard to keep there spot.

One a personal note with the shoulder injury, everything was fine and i was really pleased that Jimmy put me on early, I wasn't expecting to get involved so soon in the game but i was made up I was.

After the game I was checked out by the Doctor like most players are and he was really pleased with how things went and the shoulder was really strong, although it will take a few more games to get match hardened.

I was really nervous before the game, it was like making my debut again but now i have got a game under my belt hopefully i can crack on.

This week it has been mentioned a few times to Benny Westwood that in his SKY sports interview post St Helens he said 'We have won 7 out of our last 6 games!' I ain't sure if that is mathmatically possible, maybe we will have to ask Mark Hilton with his Mathmatics Masters Degree if he can confirm this haha.

I would also liek to say that the support we recieve for the Hull KR game was great, I had forgotten what the atmosphere was like when your playing at the HJ and i can tell you it was second to none!

Thanks again and speak soon, Woody.
