GYM Class Heroes are set to arrive in the UK in September to play a series of headline gigs including a show at Manchester Academy 2.
The award winning, alternative hip-hop outfit will showcase tracks from their eagerly anticipated third album, The Quilt, which is out on September 8.
It is the first music from the band since 2006’s RIAA gold-certified breakthrough, As Cruel as School Children. It features some extraordinary collaborators including producers Cool & Dre (Yung Joc, Young Jeezy, The Game) and the Geneva, NY-based band’s long time friend and collaborator, Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy.
The one-and-only Busta Rhymes, the UK’s finest soul sensation Estelle and the legendary Daryl Hall also make an appearance on the set.
The album’s first single, Cookie Jar comes out digitally on August 25 and physically on September 8.
Produced by The-Dream who has also worked with Rihanna, Usher and Chris Brown, the companion video is directed by Dale “Rage” Resteghini.
Gym Class Heroes are: Travis McCoy (lead vocalist), Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo (guitarist), Eric Roberts (bassist), and Matt McGinley (drummer).
They will play at Manchester Academy 2 on Tuesday, September 16.
Tickets priced £13 are on sale now from gigsandtours.com, the 24-hour hotline 0871 2200 260 and 0161 832 1111.
