IT HAS taken me 27 days but finally I have a favourite.

I've spent so long concentrating on which housemates I hate that I haven't really considered liking any of them. But now with Alex, Sylvia and Dennis out the door some of the nicer characters are taking centre stage.

I may be blinded by the fact that she is from Warrington and Widnes but my current favourite is Lisa. She may not be the favourite to win but if last night's episode is anything to go by I think she may be a dark horse.

Last night we saw two sides to Lisa's personality that we haven't seen before - her vulnerability and strength. When the house was full the only time we ever saw Lisa was when she was groping Mario or taking her top off. Now we have less threats, fake weddings and spitting she finally gets a speaking role.

During her chat with the girls in the bedroom she revealed her insecurities about Mario's previous relationships. People may judge them as a 'bimbo' couple but this conversation showed how much she really loves him. She came across as very genuine and easy to relate to and I hope this continues as the show progresses.

While the rest of the house goes into meltdown as the pressure of dressing up as animals gets to them, "flamingo" Lisa passed her task with no problems, standing on one leg for an impressive twenty minutes without ever a whimper. I for one was cheering when the twenty minute "squalk" sounded.

I think Lisa's characteristics seemed even more impressive when you compare her to winging "seal" Jen. No-one could say her confessions of love are genuine and her strength of character certainly isn't shining through as she cries about pretty much everything.

With the eviction looming I feel she may dig herself even further into the ground by trying to start up her relationship with "puppy dog", sorry "kangaroo", Dale. If only she realised that the public watch Hollyoaks for fake relationships, we don't need a self-selected 'bombshell' making her own storylines.

Since the nominations were announced every one of Jen's sentences has mentioned her 'being herself'... doth the lady protest too much?

If only she'd have taken a leaf out of Lisa's book and actually been herself.
