RESIDENTS in one area of Warrington have been hit with a power cut this afternoon, Tuesday.

The power cut was reported to Scottish Power at around 2.30pm amid the ongoing cold snap.

It is currently affecting residents in the WA4 area of Warrington including: WA41PL, WA41PN, WA41PP, WA41PS, WA41PT, WA41PU, WA41PW, WA41PX, WA41PY, WA41QE, WA41QG, WA41QH, WA41QQ, WA41TR, WA41XB, WA41XF, WA41XG, WA41XH, WA41XQ.

"We apologise for the continued interruption of power in the WA4 postcode area of Warrington," a spokesperson for Scottish Power said.

"Restoration is taking longer than expected due to an underground cable fault, and we now aim to have power restored by 11pm."
