A ROAD in Burtonwood is set to close temporarily for works.

Warrington Borough Council has announced that Tan House Lane will be shut for one day on October 6 from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

The closure, stretching from the junction with Farmers Lane to the junction with Burtonwood Road, will allow telecom company Openreach to replace a telecom pole.

Motorists will be directed to use an alternative route via Chapel Lane and Clay Lane.

Access will be under the control of the relevant contractor for the duration of the works.

The announcement was made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
