THE streets in the centre of Warrington were filled with members of the 75 Engineers Regiment this morning, Saturday.
Orford Barracks-based army reservists paraded through the town centre, with the procession beginning at the Town Hall at 11.30am.
The 75 Engineers Regiment (Volunteers) was granted the Freedom of the Borough in May 2013, in recognition of the long and close association between the council and the regiment.
And the march proceeded through Sankey Street, Springfield Street, Palmyra Square North, Rylands Street, Bridge Street, Market Gate, and Sankey Street.
Upon their return to the Town Hall, the Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Steve Wright, received a salute from the troops and inspected the parade before the presentation of service medals to the regiment.
