THE inquest into the death of beloved Orford dad who died in Turkey has been officially opened at Cheshire Coroner’s Court.
Wesley Atherton, 36, sustained brain injuries after a road traffic collision in Ortaca while quad biking just days into his trip.
The court heard that, despite hospital admission and care, the dad-of-two deteriorated and died in Dalaman Hospital on May 14.
“I lost the other half of me, and my daughters lost their amazing father,” read a post shared by Wes’ partner.
"I would be typing forever trying to put into words how much we love you and already miss you and how much you mean to us, you’re our world Wes and life will never be the same."
Senior coroner Jacqueline Devonish formally opened the inquest into Mr Atherton’s death and adjourned it until November 5.
