SIX-mile long queues are forming on the M56 following a collision.
One lane has been closed on the westbound side of the carriageway after a two-car crash took place this morning, Wednesday.
Officers were called to the scene at around 8am following reports of a collision involving two vehicles.
Queues are continuing to build between junction 11 at Preston Brook to junction 14 A5117 (Chester Services / Helsby).
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "There are not believed to be reports of any injuries."
National Highways estimate the scene to be clear by 10am latest.
There are 30 minute delays on the #M56 westbound between J12 #Runcorn and J14 #Hapsford due to a traffic collision.
