THIS adorable dog is looking for a forever home after being cruelly abandoned.

Gizmo, a nine-year-old Shih Tzu cross, was said to be in a ‘complete mess’ when he arrived at Warrington Animal Welfare.

Staff at the animal shelter, off Slutchers Lane near the town centre, were perplexed why anyone would leave the ‘super friendly, chilled out guy’.

Having lost weight and having had his fur sorted out at the groomers, he is now looking for a caring new home.

Warrington Animal Welfare said: “Poor nine-year-old Shih Tzu cross Gizmo was left abandoned in a property and came into our care overweight, with his fur a complete mess.

“He is a super friendly little guy, and we cannot understand why anyone would leave him behind.

“As you can see, he loves the water and doing his piggy impressions.

“He seems fine with other dogs and seems ok with cats. He walks nicely on his lead and seems a quite a chilled-out chap.

“He was also a very good boy at the groomers.”
