A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of affray after a woman was threatened with a knife and hammer at a home in Bewsey.
Armed police officers swarmed the area following reports of an incident on Southworth Avenue last Saturday at around 8.25pm.
A caller reported that a man had threatened a woman with a knife and a hammer.
Local officers and armed police conducted a search of the area to locate the man.
It has been confirmed that a 39-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of affray.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "He has since been released on conditional bail.”
