WE love this picture of 1970s Warrington.
It shows Buttermarket Street as it was before pedestrianisation, landscaping and when buses could still drive through the heart of the town.
How the town centre has changed for shoppers today.
Many of the building are largely unchanged, including the Lower Angel to the right.
But pictured on the far left is a small Tesco store.
The supermarket now occupies the massive unit on Winwick Road.
But back in the 1970s it had more of a corner shop feel.
Do you have great memories of Warrington in the 1970s?
