PRIDE celebrations are taking place all over Warrington in June, and the staff and teachers at the University of Chester are hosting a special event in Time Square.
Hosted at the University’s town centre campus, the event will be held in honour of pride month on June 8.
The day will include a visit by the Rainbow Fire Engine of the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, and sessions to make a banner or badge for the parade or join in with other arts and crafts.
Speakers will also be welcomed including a Warrington-based poet and writer, the lead trustee of Liverpool Pride, and one of the University’s postgraduate students.
In addition, visitors can take a tour of University Centre Warrington’s Time Square building and visit stalls to chat to staff.
The event is set to run from 10am to 2pm and is free to attend.
Professor Hannah Bacon, lead organiser, said: “We’re delighted to play a key role in Warrington Pride 2024 as it returns to the town centre this June, with a renewed focus on diversity and community inclusion.”
