A SUSPECT has been charged with causing a woman to be seriously injured by dangerous driving.
The charge follows an incident on June 9 last year on Chester Road in Preston Brook, near to junction 11 of the M56.
At around 2.30pm on that afternoon, Friday, a large emergency service presence was reported at the scene, including police, firefighters and paramedics.
The road was closed following a crash that involved a car and a van, with two men and a woman taken to hospital.
Firefighters made the scene safe before handing the casualties over to the care of paramedics.
Now, a man has been charged over the crash.
Dale Gledhill, of Vine Street in Salford, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The particulars of the charge allege that the 40-year-old caused serious injury to a woman by driving a Ford Transit van dangerously, on the A56 Chester Road on Friday, June 9, 2023.
He is due to make a first appearance in relation to the charge before Warrington Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday.
