ARMED police officers searched an area of Bewsey following reports that a man had threatened a woman with a knife and hammer.
At around 8.25pm on Saturday, police responded to reports of an incident on Southworth Avenue.
The caller reported that a man had threatened a woman with a knife and a hammer.
Local officers, supported by firearms teams, attended the scene and conducted a search for the man, however he could not be located.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information, which may aid officers in their investigation is asked to contact Cheshire Police via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, or call 101, quoting IML-1826849."
