WARRINGTON has been named one of the cheapest places to buy a home close to an outstanding school.

A list has revealed the most affordable and expensive areas in England to purchase a property near some of the highest rated schools.

The study conducted by education experts at UTS Online analysed the percentage of schools rated by Ofsted as outstanding in more than 150 parts of England and compared this to the average house price in each area.

The average house price in Warrington, data found, sat at £259, 203.89.

And Warrington was ranked 49th on the list, with 8.96 per cent of schools in the area rated outstanding.

Luton and Watford ranking first and second cheapest place on the list and Elmbridge being the most expensive area.

A spokesperson from UTS Online commented on the findings:

“Every parent wants their child to get the best schooling, so living near good schools is a top priority for many families.

“This study's findings offer some fascinating insights into areas across England where families can find a good education without blowing the budget.”
