A PRIMARY School in Orford has applied for planning permission to add an extension to the building.

St Margaret’s Church of England Primary School applied for planning permission on Wednesday, May 8.

The plans, which were submitted to Warrington Borough Council, show that part of the school’s building will be extended towards the rear of the premises.

Two year three classrooms are the location for the proposed extension and will each have at least 14 square meters extra space if the plans are approved.

A floor plan submitted with the application shows that internal remodelling will also be carried out on the two classrooms, removing two store cupboards.

Instead, two cloak units will be built inside the rooms.

The application also states that the extension will be altered to match the style and materiality of the previously extended buildings throughout the school.

Warrington Borough Council will now decide whether to approve or refuse the application before June 5.
