A MAN will face a trial after he denied charges of theft and criminal damage.

Jack Farrell, 32, has been charged in connection with theft and criminal damage, alleged to have happened on Saturday, May 11.

A Mpolice spokeswoman said the theft allegation relates to a mobile phone from a house in Alder Street, Newton-le-Willows.

Meanwhile, the alleged criminal damage relates to the windscreen and passenger side door of a car in Penkford Lane, Burtonwood.

Farrell, of Penkford Lane, Burtonwod, has also been charged with criminal damage, alleged to have been inflicted on a car on April 8 at Alder Street, Newton-le-Willows.

The 32-year-old appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Monday, May 13.

He issued not guilty pleas to all the charges before magistrates.

A trial date has been set for the afternoon of August 8 this year at the magistrates' court.

Farrell has been given conditional bail until then.
