A PAEDOPHILE had been downloading sickening sexual abuse images and videos, including ones of babies, for more than four years.

When police raided Jordan Clarkson’s Burtonwood home, they seized three iPhones, which in total had nearly 1,000 horrific child sex abuses images and videos on.

And when his devices were further examined, it was found that the 25-year-old had been using search terms such as ‘young’, ‘incest’, and ‘paedo’.

Clarkson, of Almond Drive, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court on Friday where he was spared jail but told he won’t get another chance.

He pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to possessing indecent images of children, three counts of making indecent images of children, possessing prohibited images, and possessing extreme pornographic images.

Prosecuting, Michael Hopkins said how police attended Clarkson’s home and seized a number of devices in April last year.

Mr Hopkins said that in total, 949 sick images and videos were found on Clarkson’s iPhones, the ‘vast majority’ of which were ‘live and accessible’ for the user.

Liverpool Crown Court heard that some of this horrific material featured babies being abused in a sexual manner.

Defending Clarkson, who has no previous convictions, Carmel Wilde said: “He has come to terms with the fact that his offending is something that is extremely concerning and something that needs addressing.”

Ms Wilde told the court how her client is a ‘very isolated’ man and was ‘not in a good place’ at the time of these offences. She said he is a carer for his mother.

Before passing sentence, Judge Anil Murray said: “You have never been in trouble before, that is what has saved you from going immediately to prison today, but you are not going to get that chance twice.

“I make it clear, you are not likely to get this chance again.”

Clarkson was handed a 12-month prison sentence suspended for two years.

He must also complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days, 100 hours of unpaid work, and a six-month mental health treatment programme.

The defendant must also sign the sex offenders register for 10 years, the same length of time which was handed a sexual harm prevention order for.
