A NUMBER of unauthorised caravan encampments have been reported across Warrington.

Caravans have pitched up in a series of locations, as detailed by an unauthorised encampment log for Cheshire and Warrington operated by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

According to the latest update by the Cheshire and Warrington Traveller Team, there are two active unauthorised camps at present.

One is at Age UK, between units 44 and 45 at Hardwick Grange, Woolston.

Four caravans and associated towing vehicles are believed to have arrived yesterday, Thursday.

The log states that Cheshire Police officers will visit the privately-owned site.

Another encampment of four caravans was reported at Thermo Fisher Scientific, at Kingsland Grange in Woolston.

A council officer was to contact the landowner, with the group having arrived at the privately-owned site on Wednesday.

The log also features two recently vacated encampments.

One was at Renaissance House, at Centre Park Square near the town centre, with two caravans arriving at the private site on Wednesday before leaving.

Another was the Wickes store at Pinner's Brow Retail Park near the town centre, with two caravans leaving the privately-owned site having arrived on Saturday.
