Who is upper crust when it comes to making pies?

Is there one which stands out above all others and deserves to be recognised at the best pie shop in Warrington?

Hot on the heels of last week’s search for Warrington’s Best for Hair, the second category of our Best of 2024 competition will focus on pies – both sweet and savoury.

We were inundated with nominations for the best hair salon, barbershop or independent stylist in Warrington and we hope residents can get behind their favourite pies in the same way.

From a pork pie to meat and potato, and an apple pie to a cherry pie, we all have our favourite pie and a place we trust to make them just how we like them.

It doesn’t have to be a pie shop - it could also be an independent seller that makes great pies.

So, let us know who deserves to be featured in our final shortlist and why.

So far in our Best of 2024 competition, we’ve searched for Warrington’s Best for Hair with the shortlist for the area’s Best for Hair revealed yesterday, Thursday.

This week, it’s pies and we know it will be no easy feat to choose a winner which is why we’ll be handing over the final decision to those who know best – our readers.

HOW IT WORKS:

Each Friday morning we will reveal new categories via our social media pages and ask you who is the best. Nominations will then close each Monday morning at 12pm.

Every Thursday we will publish a shortlist of finalists with voting officially opening.

You will be able to vote in one of three ways:

- By commenting under the relevant post on our Warrington Guardian Facebook or X (Twitter) pages = 1 vote

- By entering via the online article on our Warrington Guardian website = 2 votes

- By entering via our Warrington Guardian newspaper = 5 votes

Voting closes each Sunday evening at midnight.

The following Wednesday evening we will announce the winner of that category on social media.
