A NEW electric vehicle charge operator will be coming to the multi-storey car park in Time Square next month.

And the council is warning there will be a short period of disruption while the change happens.

Zest – who provide EV charge point infrastructure for public and commercial landowners across the country – have been selected by Warrington Borough Council as the new operator.

As part of this change, all the chargers at the car park will be replaced.

There will be more than 50 charging bays installed. The old chargers will be switched off on May 1, with the 52 new Zest 7kw chargers installed over a two-week period.

It will be a phased install and Zest are aiming to have some of the chargers on-line by the end of the first week.

A spokesman said: "While this changeover is happening, there will be a short period of disruption. The council apologises for this and thanks all users for their patience while the work is carried out."

Users will need to download the ZEST Charging App to use the chargers. This can be found at zest.uk.com/drivers For any queries, email EV@warrington.gov.uk
