A PAEDOPHILE who sent naked pictures of himself to who he thought was a teenage girl and told her to look at his ‘little willy’ has been told that prison is ‘inevitable’.
Terry Yates asked for photographs of the ‘girl’ in her school unform and called her his ‘gorgeous princess’.
But he was actually talking to an undercover police officer.
Yates, formerly of Whitworth Close, Birchwood, was previously handed a suspended sentence for this sick offending back in 2022, which he breached less than three months later.
And now, he is back before the courts for further breaches.
The 41-year-old appeared before Liverpool Crown Court for sentencing on Monday after pleading guilty to breaching his sexual harm prevention order as well as breaching conditions of the sex offenders register.
But his sentencing was adjourned to a later date to allow the probation service to carry out an updated report on the defendant, who is currently an inmate at HMP Altcourse after he was remanded in custody following an earlier appearance at Warrington Magistrates’ Court.
Before adjourning the hearing, addressing the defendant, Judge Andrew Menary KC, the honorary recorder of Liverpool, said: “As you appreciate, custody for these matters is inevitable.”
Judge Menary said the length of the prison sentence Yates will receive will be determined at a hearing in May.
