SEVEN teenagers have been arrested following a robbery in which a boy was assaulted in Warrington town centre.

Two months on, Cheshire Police officers investigating the incident are appealing for the victim to come forward.

At around 4.30am on Saturday, February 17, a boy, thought to be in his late teens, was approached by seven youths on Rylands Street.

It was reported that the group assaulted him and stole his bag.

The incident was reported to police by CCTV operators, however the victim has not come forward.

Cheshire Police has confirmed that seven teenage boys, aged between 14 and 18, have since been arrested on suspicion of robbery in relation to the incident.

The teenagers have all been bailed and enquiries are continuing.

DC Lauren Pedley said: “The victim fled the scene along with the suspects, who through our enquiries we arrested.

“Despite further enquiries, we have not been able to establish who the victim was, and we are appealing for anyone with information or the victim himself to speak with us so we can progress with our investigation.”
