A POLICE car was involved in a crash on the roads yesterday, Thursday.
Cheshire Police has confirmed that the vehicle was involved in a collision with another non-police vehicle in the town centre.
One officer suffered minor injuries in the incident on Winmarleigh Street, close to Warrington Police Station, at around 3.50pm.
The force has confirmed that due to the collision being minor, the incident is not being referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 3.50pm on Thursday, April 11, a police car was in collision with a Mercedes on Winmarleigh Street, Warrington.
“One officer had minor injuries. Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances.”
