THE services of firefighters were required following a fire in a home this afternoon, Wednesday.
Two fire engines from Warrington and Lymm fire stations were dispatched to Swanage Close in Stockton Heath at around 1.45pm.
This came after Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire in the kitchen of a property.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
A high-pressure fan was also used to clear the smoke.
A fire service spokesman added: “The fire is believed to have involved a tumble dryer.”
