POLICE are working alongside the council to deal with the issue of dog fouling on sports pitches across the town.
Warrington Police has revealed that some of its officers are working with local rugby clubs to see if they can help in any way.
So far, a main issue reported by all clubs is dog fouling on pitches.
A Facebook post by the force reads: “These teams do some amazing work keeping young people fit and away from trouble (including some of us in our younger days).
“If you have a dog, please pick up the poo.
“Let's keep these pitches clean for the kids to play sport on.”
The force has said it will also be working alongside Warrington Borough Council’s environment department to deal with this issue.
