A BIN lorry had to dump its burning load onto a yard after it caught fire.
Crews from Warrington and Penketh were called to the lorry on Bramhall Street just west of the town centre at 8.36am on Friday, March 29.
The lorry’s contents, which had caught fire, were dumped into a yard to give fire crews a chance to put it out.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Fire engines from Warrington and Penketh were called to Bramhall Street at 8.36am this morning (March 29).
"Waste contained in a bin lorry had caught fire.
“The decision was made to empty the waste on to an open yard to allow firefighters to extinguish the fire using a hose reel jet.”
