A WARRINGTON woman has celebrated her 102nd birthday - but says she doesn’t know what the secret is to being so fit at her age.
Mary Johnson, who was born in Warrington, celebrated her birthday on Sunday at Victoria House Care Home in Grappenhall with her family.
Mary was married to her late husband Bill for over 60 years and together they had four children.
The 102-year-old also has 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In her early years, Mary was a nurse at Winwick Hospital in Cheshire where she worked night shifts.
Loved by all staff and residents at Victoria house, Mary is still very independent and doesn’t like too much fuss.
When asked what the secret is to being so healthy at 102, Mary says “I don’t know – so I can’t give you any tips!”
