AFTER more than two decades working together, a trio of hairdressers said that the "time was right" to launch their first studio.

With years of experience working at various salons around Newton and Earlestown, Nicola Cowley, Rachael Trigg, and Sarah Jackson formed a close connection while learning their trade together.

The trio were all self-employed and renting space in another salon in their previous roles, but have now realised a long-held dream after launching their first business on Market Street in Earlestown.

Nicola said: "All three of us have worked together in other salons for 20 years, and Rachael and Sarah have worked together for more than 30 years.

"We have talked about opening our own salon for years so when we viewed this property, we loved it and thought let's just go for it.

"It's only a little further up from where we were previously working so it really felt like the time was right."

After a short refurbishment of the premises, 'The Salon @ 24' officially launched on Tuesday, March 19, and the three hairdressers are hoping that all of their regular clients will join them in the switch and that they can attract even more customers.

Nicola added: "Every spare minute we had we were working on making the salon just how we wanted it, and we absolutely love it.

"We have had some clients coming in already and everyone just seems so happy for us, and they knew it was the right time for us to do our own thing."
