A HUGE search of the town centre was carried out this morning, Tuesday, after a cannabis farm was found.
The police helicopter was heard circling the town centre from 9am.
It followed the discovery of a cannabis farm on Barbauld Street.
Police say they were searching for a man who fled the scene and enquiries continue.
A spokesman added: "At 9am this morning officers from Warrington LPU’s problem solving team conducted a warrant at an address in Barbauld Street, Warrington.
"A cannabis farm was discovered and a man fled the scene. The police helicopter was deployed to assist in making a search of the area for the suspect.
"Police remain at the scene and enquiries are continuing."
