TEMPORARY traffic lights will be in place on a Great Sankey road for more than a week.

The temporary signals have been set up on the A57 Liverpool Road at Victoria Avenue.

And the traffic controlling measures will remain in place until next Tuesday (March 26).

It has been confirmed the temporary lights are due to ongoing ‘utility and repair maintenance work’ being carried out by Scottish Power.

There are multi-way signals in place for motorists accessing the road for the time being.
