A MAIN route through south Warrington is set for six weeks of evening closures.
Warrington Borough Council has published a traffic notice for London Road in Appleton.
This publicises an upcoming closure through a temporary prohibition of driving order.
The A49 London Road will be closed from its junction with Quarry Lane to its junction with Longwood Road.
The order will be effective from Monday, April 22, for six weeks between 7pm and 1am.
A diversion has been drawn up taking vehicles via Lyon’s Lane, Broom Avenue, Longwood Road and vice versa.
A council spokesman confirmed that the restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing.
