A POPULAR Warrington nursery that has been run by the same owners for 25 years has been bought out by a national chain.

Kids Planet Day Nurseries has announced its acquisition of Puddleduck's Day Nursey based on the grounds of Woolston CE Primary School.

The successful nursery was ‘built from the ground up’, previous owner, Nigel Berry explained.

“Selling Puddleduck's was an extremely difficult decision as we built it from the ground up in 1999 with our own children being the first to attend.

“We developed a fantastic team who give their all to the children,” Mr Berry said.

After meeting with the owners of Kids Planet, head quartered in Lymm, Mr Berry said he knew the nursery was in ‘good hands’.

“Throughout the process, the Kids Planet team were welcoming and caring, sensitive to our circumstances and quick to respond to any queries.

“We are confident the team and families will be well looked after, and we wish Kids Planet every success for the future,” he added.

The nursery will become another addition to the nation-wide chain.

Clare Roberts, CEO at Kids Planet, said: “I am delighted to welcome Puddleducks into the group.

“Puddleducks has held an excellent reputation for high-quality childcare in the area, which they provide in a homely and engaging environment.

“With their child-centred approach, there are many synergies with Kids Planet and we look forward to supporting them moving forward as part of the Kids Planet family.”
