A MAIN route in Warrington is set for weeks of closures due to upgrade work.
Warrington Borough Council has published a traffic notice for Padgate Lane.
A temporary prohibition of driving order has been drawn up for the road for northeast traffic.
This is from its junction with Orford Road to its junction with Bridlemere Court.
The order will be effective from Monday, March 18, for two weeks, with access under the control of the relevant contractor for the duration of the works.
According to the council, the closure is required to allow Cadent to carry out gas mains replacement works.
A diversion has been drawn up, with an alternative route taking vehicles via Orford Road, Birchwood Way and Blackbrook Avenue.
