ALL of the fridges and freezers in a huge Warrington supermarket were closed last night, Monday.
Customers at Sainsbury’s Church Street were unable to access any fridges and freezers due to them being covered up.
Announcements were made in the shop revealing that due to circumstances beyond the store’s control, customers were unable to buy any refrigerated or frozen products.
A spokesperson for the retailer told the Warrington Guardian that as of today, Tuesday, the fridges and freezers are open as usual.
“We are sorry for any inconveniences the temporary closure may have caused,” they added.
It is believed they were closed due to ‘intermittent’ local power cuts.
Residents in Bewsey were hit by electricity black outs last night, however power has now been restored.
