SIX Warrington babies leapt into the world sharing a very special birthday – February 29.
Mia Zoë Gilhooley arrived first at 4.53am, followed by Harper Rose Storey at 9.45am and Elsie-Mae Ann Mahoney arrived at 11am.
Daisy Grace Pickersgill was born at 11.25am with Luca Liam McDonnell arriving at 4.15pm and Halle Siew Fèng Davies at 4.53pm.
The new arrivals all made an appearance on leap year day 2024 – a unique date that only happens once every four years.
Natasha Gilhooley welcomed Mia into the world in the early hours of leap year day having started with contractions at 2.30am.
She only arrived at Warrington Hospital at 3am and Mia was born just under two hours later weighing 8lb 2.5oz.
Natasha, who was back home by lunchtime introducing Mia to big brother Charlie, said: “Mia was due on March 6 but we said from day one that she’d arrive on February 29 – we just knew!”

Harper arrived to parents Ryan and Kayley Storey via elective section on Thursday, February 29 weighing 7lb 2oz.
Harper joins big sisters Ivy, aged three, and one-year-old Delilah at their family home in Great Sankey.
The third bundle of joy to arrive on leap year day was Elsie-Mae who weighed 9lb 3.5oz.
She was due on March 2 but arrived two days early.
Mum Elizabeth Fenney, who lives in Great Sankey, said: "We love Elsie-Mae's special birth date - it's like she's an angel.
"She's very content and feeding every three hours so settling in well."
Next to make an appearance at Warrington Hospital was Daisy who was born via c-section at 11.25am weighing 8lb 11oz.
Mum Jennifer, who lives in Paddington, said: “Her big sister Lily, who is two-and-a-half, has welcomed Daisy and is loving helping us to look after her.
“Being born on February 29 is very special and such a unique date of birth.
“We’ve already decided that instead of a sweet 16th birthday party in 2040, Daisy will be having a bouncy castle and celebrating her fourth official birthday!”
The fourth baby to arrive on February 29 was Luca weighing 7lb 1oz.
Parents Genna Williams and Liam McDonnell, from Newton-le-Willows, welcomed the newest member of their family with Luca having an older brother Logan, who is 11, and an older sister Lottie, who is eight.
Luca was due on his grandad’s 60th birthday on March 5 but decided to put in an appearance six days early.
Lucy Davies and her wife Amy who live in Latchford welcomed Halle – a much-longed for IVF miracle who arrived four days early weighing 8lb.
Lucy said: “Having Halle on February 29 makes it even more special.”
Four of the girls - Mia, Harper, Elsie-Mae and Daisy - will be celebrating their birthdays on March 1 in non leap years with Luca and Halle marking theirs on February 28 and looking forward to celebrating on their actual birthdays once every four years.
