CONGESTION is continuing to build on the M6, Thelwall Viaduct following a crash.
Two lanes were closed on the Thelwall Viaduct southbound after an incident which took place between Junction 21A M62 Junction 10 (Croft Interchange) to Junction 21 A57 Manchester Road (Woolston).
Road traffic officers were called to an incident following reports of a collision involving two vehicles at approximately 8.57am this morning, Monday.
Two lanes were closed while the vehicles, a black Mercedes SLK280 and a grey VW Polo, were recovered from the scene.
Both lanes have now been reopened and queuing traffic has been reported on the approach.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 8.57am on Monday 4 March police were called to a collision on the M6 Thelwall Viaduct southbound.
"The collision involves a black Mercedes SLK280 and a grey VW Polo.
"There are no reports of any injuries, but two lanes have been closed while recovery is undertaken."
