Paddington pub reveals stunning makeover ahead of reopening

The Dog and Partridge Hotel on Manchester Road has posted update pictures ahead of its hotly anticipated reopening on March 21.

The pub is on week four of its refurbishment and is looking stunning, with the owners giving the Paddington pub an internal and external facelift.

New colour schemes and logos have been drawn up for the site, off Manchester Road.

Now, a grand reopening date has been fixed for Thursday, March 21, with doors opening from midday and a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5pm.

Confirming the news of the reopening, the pub said: “Wow, we are overwhelmed by all the positive comments and feedback already everyone.

“We cannot wait to bring you more over the coming weeks.

“Just to give some clarity and context behind a few comments and messages regarding the current kids play equipment, we are currently awaiting a professional and compliance update before we can commit to whether it stays or not.

“We really hope it can, but safety is our first priority.

“We will however either way still be a family friendly pub with lots of other activities available inside and outside.

“Watch this space for further updates.”

In December, the pub had plans approved to build a raised deck and timber pergola, as well as to redecorate the existing decking to the front.

Documents submitted as part of the application stated: “The proposal aims to revamp the external beer garden and create a new covered external pergola for external seating.

“The proposal is part of a rebrand from Greene King and its Hive pub brand which aims to attract new customers to the venue.”

Plans went on to say: “The proposed works are to enhance existing customer facilities and staff operation, in order to help facilitate the ongoing economic viability of this existing and well-established operation.”

Last month, The Dog and Partridge also applied to demolish an unsafe and redundant outbuilding.
