CONCERN has been raised by a resident after a seal has been spotted on the bank of Rivers Edge.
Footage captured by resident Ella Ko shows the seal moving around on the Rivers Edge bank by the River Mersey.
Ella, who lives on the Rivers Edge housing complex off Slutchers Lane, first spotted the seal yesterday, Saturday, after her neighbour had posted on social media that they had sighted it a few days ago.
The seal has been in the same position for several days Ella noted, expressing concern that it may be 'stranded'.
"It's still there in the same spot. I'm worried if something might be wrong, like it being stranded.
"I just went to check on it, and it seems pretty relaxed. I believe it's okay for now, but I'll keep an eye on it in the coming days," Ella said.
Footage and pictures captured by the resident show the seal moving frequently on the river bank.
