A CHESHIRE Police unit will feature in tonight’s ITV2 show ‘Laura Whitmore Investigates’.
The episode, which focuses on Cyber Stalking, sees Laura pay a visit to the force’s Harm Reduction Unit (HRU) in Winsford, which includes one of the only three specialist stalking units in the UK.
The HRU is a specialist unit that works together with partners such as mental health professionals, probation officers and with specialist victims' advocates to ensure a victim's voice is kept at the forefront of an investigation.
In tonight’s episode, Laura meets detective sergeant Dave Thomason who talks her through the work the unit does.
He also talks her through ‘red flags’ and what officers look for in each case.
It seems Laura is impressed by Cheshire Police’s work as she notes how the unit ensures victims are ‘humanised’ rather than just being a case number.
Tonight’s episode, which airs at 9pm, will be the third part of the series which takes on a series of highly-charged, controversial issues.
