HERE’S a first look at the filming for the second series of a BBC drama featuring an actor from Padgate.

Last year, Warren Brown starred in Ten Pound Poms alongside Michelle Keegan.

The drama shone a light on British immigrants who took the chance to sail to Australia after the Second World War, in the hope of making a new life for themselves - aided by a government scheme that allowed them to immigrate for just £10.

It was a six-part drama that closely followed the Roberts family, with Warren taking on the role of Terry, the head of the family.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Warren, who is known for starring in the likes of Shameless, Hollyoaks, and The Responder, is returning for a second series alongside Michelle Keegan.

Warren took to Instagram to share a sneak peek into filming that is currently taking place for the drama.

“Cameras are rolling and we are off!” his Instagram post reads.

“Ten Pound Poms Season 2.”

While some characters are returning for the second series of Ten Pound Poms, new characters will also be introduced, including the Skinner family, fresh off the boat from Ireland, and the unscrupulous landlord Benny Bates.

Rob Collins will also return as Ron while Leon Ford will play Bill and Declan Coyle will reprise his role as Stevie.

Also returning are Stephen Curry as JJ, Hattie Hook as Pattie, Finn Treacy as Peter, Emma Hamilton as Sheila and Cheree Cassidy as Marlene.
