POLICE attended an incident in Warrington relating to a ‘large fight’ over the weekend.
The incident is said to have occurred on Friday evening, according to a social media post by Cheshire Police’s special constable unit.
This stated that, among other incidents, officers attended a ‘large fight involving 30 youths’.
The force’s special constabulary team said: “A busy start to the shift for our chief officer and station inspector.
“So far, they have attended four grade one 999 calls, including two road traffic collisions, a suspected burglary in progress and a large fight reported of 30 youths in Warrington.
“We sense this is going to be a busy night.”
When asked by the Warrington Guardian for more details on the fight, a spokesman for Cheshire Police could only find one potential reported incident that evening.
They said: “At around 7.30pm on Friday, February 9, police were called to reports of a large group of youths dressed all in black on Waterways in Great Sankey.
“There were no reports of any disorder and no offences were committed.”
