AIMING to promote true Neapolitan pizza alongside classic Italian aperitivo, Rudy’s in Stockton Heath has the recipe for success.

Three years ago, the popular pizzeria opened its doors in the centre of Stockton Heath using fresh ingredients to create delicious pizzas.

Here, in our latest Food and Drink feature, general manager Giulia Carbone tells us how the Covid-19 pandemic allowed them to develop their Bake at Home range and what makes their pizza different to their competitors.

Were you open before/during/after the Covid-19 pandemic? How did this affect your business?

As a company, we were open before the pandemic. Covid was difficult but we adapted our business to the changes that the pandemic brought and created our very own Bake at Home pizzas - a new way of eating Rudy’s but from the comfort of your own home. We also supply takeaways on delivery channels. Our Stockton Heath pizzeria opened on the day Covid restrictions were lifted so we were able to welcome new guests and give them a chance to try our product.

What makes your business different to others in the same area/field? What sets your business apart from your competitors?

Pizza is at the centre stage for us at Rudy’s. We pride ourselves in offering the best quality Neapolitan pizza using fresh Italian ingredients. Our dough is made fresh daily on site and all our authentic ingredients are supplied from Italy. For us, it’s all about the dough and providing the guest with the best possible experience.

Why do loyal customers return to your business?

I think it’s a combination of different things: a great quality product, friendly and welcoming people and lastly a casual and relaxed atmosphere suitable for every occasion.

What’s next? What do the next few months hold for you and your business?

Our focus for the year ahead is to continue to bring true Neapolitan pizza to the people of Warrington. We are excited for the year ahead.
